Day 1: Hanoi - Overnight Train to Lao Cai (Night 1)
21h00 in the evening pick up at your hotel in Hanoi, transfer to Hanoi train station for train to Laocai (Tourist Carriage, first class, 4person compartment with air-conditioning). The train departs approximate 2115 hours. Overnight trip
At approx. 05h20 AM: Pick up at Lao Cai station on arrival by train from Hanoi. A scenic 38 km drive on winding roads up the mountains brings you to Sapa, approx. 1500 m above sea level. On clear days you can see the highest mountain of Vietnam, the Fansipan.

Time free to relax and enjoy the beautiful landscape from your balcony. Continue a short drive by car brings you to the rim of a deep valley followed by a trekking which will take you to Ta Van village, home to Dzay and H’Mong minorities. Late afternoon stroll through the small alleys of the town centre. Accommodation at hotel.
Day 3: Sapa - Hekou - Jianshui (B)

Drive downhill Sapa to Laocai/Hekou Sino-Vietnamese boarder
0900 hours Hanoi's time (1000 hours, Beijing's time), our local Vietnamese guide will assist you with the cross-border formality then our local Yunnan guide will greet and accompany to Hekou.
Drive to Jianshui in the afternoon. Overnight at hotel
Day 4: Jianshui (B)

You will have time to appreciate the special architecture of the city: the Temple of Confucius set in a magnificent way with its glistening glazed tiles; the garden of the Family Zhu, a typical residential structure of Southern Yunnan built during the Qing Dynasty. Short walking tour in Jianshui to see the famous ancient wells still preserved in Jianshui.

Day 5: Jianshui – Stone Forest (B)

In the morning, visit of the Tuanshan village for its well preserved architecture and local village atmosphere and the Double Dragon bridge, one of the best example of a 17-arches bridge before heading to the Stone Forest

Day 6: Stone Forest – Kunming (B)

In the morning, discover one of China's most remarkable phenomena consisiting of innumerable bizarre-shaped ancient limestone cliffs and peaks created by wind and water erosion some 200 million years ago
In the afternoon, drive to Kunming. On the way, you will visit the Golden Temple, a unique Taoist temple cast in bronze, and end Overnight at hotel
Day 7: Kunming – Departure (B)

In the morning, drive to the Western Hills followed by a 10-minute chair-lift ride up the hill. From the top you will enjoy a beautiful view of Kunming and its surroundings before taking a path down to the famous "Dragon Gate". On the way you will also have the opportunity to visit the Huating temple, the largest Buddhist complex in Kunming.
Transfer to airport for departure or transfer to your hotel.
